
ASTM B777 Class 2 Powder
Elmet Technologies manufactures high-quality ASTM B777 Class 2 Powder, one of the four WHA powder classifications defined under ASTM B777. This powder provides an optimal balance of density, strength, and machinability, making it an excellent choice for medical shielding and defense applications. It is composed of pure tungsten (W) combined with a nickel (Ni) and iron (Fe) binder. Elmet Technologies also offers Class 1, Class 3, and Class 4 powders and machined parts.

While ASTM B777 Class 2 Powder has a slightly lower density compared to pure tungsten or Classes 3 and 4, it still offers exceptional performance with a density that is twice that of steel and significantly higher than most nickel-based superalloys.
